Far-Infrared Sauna

How does it work?

• Sitting in a far-infrared sauna, the core body temperature begins to rise.
• The blood vessels dilate, causing increased blood flow.
• As heat from the blood moves toward the skin’s surface and the core body temperature rises, the body’s nervous system sends signals to the millions of sweat glands covering the body.
• As the sweat glands are stimulated, they produce sweat. Sweat production is primarily for cooling of the body and is composed mostly of water – but deep sweating in a far-infrared sauna can help reduce levels of heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, pcbs, and hydrocarbon residues – all toxins commonly picked up from our environment.

In the far infrared sauna, invisible light rays emanate from several infrared emitters. This infrared light penetrates deep into the fat and muscles of the body, creating a more powerful detoxifying influence upon the deeper tissues of the body. As well, since the air temperature remains much lower than in a traditional sauna, you will feel more comfortable. Sweating often begins before you feel very hot at all and the sweating is more profuse than in a traditional sauna.

Finally, unlike traditional saunas or steam baths, which can often leave you feeling exhausted, the far infrared sauna is usually quite energizing. Many people actually use these before going to work in the morning, something that one would never do with a traditional sauna. Research conducted largely in Japan suggests that the far infrared sauna has a wider range of therapeutic effects than traditional saunas or steam baths, especially for detoxification.

The Far-infrared Sauna (FS) is a safe, energizing, therapeutic, and relaxing infrared sauna experience. Unlike traditional saunas, the FS emits invisible light waves. Your core body temperature increases comfortably. Infrared light penetrates into the deeper fat and muscle tissues of your body, generating a more profuse, detoxifying sweat and increased metabolism.
